African Wildlife Paintings

This is my very first attempt at acrylic on canvas. I found it to be an interesting challenge and I have since arrived at the beginning of a long road in doing acrylic work. This piece conveys a tom leopard as he awakens from slumbering the day away, just as the sun begins to set on the African plain. He restlessly waits for the day to slip away so he can embark on a sucessful night of hunting. I think these amazing animals really do have "the life"; sleep all day and hunt all night!
